Point and shoot cameras are an integral part of our lives. They allow us to take candid photographs without having to worry about controlling the shutter speed, ISO or aperture. There are many benefits to using a DSLR camera, including greater image resolution, more control and the ability to change the lens. However, not everyone needs a DSLR camera; in fact, it’s quite expensive. This is why people buy a regular point and shoot camera when they don’t need the extra features a DSLR provides.
A DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) is a digital camera with two lenses that allows you to have greater control over your photographs. The primary advantage of using a DSLR is better image quality. Image quality is defined as how clear and accurate the photograph appears. A regular point and shoot camera has a fixed lens, while a DSLR has interchangeable lenses. Additionally, all of the lenses on a DSLR are real while those on a point and shoot camera are not. This means you can use high magnification lenses or specialty lenses for macro and super-closeups. In addition, you can change the aperture size, which controls how much light enters the lens. This allows you to control the intensity of your image with just two settings. Ultimately, this gives you greater control over your photographs than you’d have with a regular point and shoot camera.
DSLRs also have many more features than regular cameras. The most important feature is a mirror that allows you to see what the camera is focusing before taking the picture. This allows you to see if the focus is correct before taking the picture. You can also use high magnification lenses or specialty lenses for macro and super-closeups. Additionally, you can change the aperture size, which controls how much light enters the lens. This allows you to focus on subjects closer or further away than regular cameras allow for without changing your settings. Other extra features include autofocus, built-in flash and backlit LCD screens for dark situations. All of these things make taking pictures in dimly-lit environments easy without using supplementary lighting sources.
Unfortunately, not everyone needs or wants these extra features- so buying a cheaper camera is an option for some people. However, this means you’ll miss out on some of the best point and shoot cameras available today. Instead of buying a cheaper model from a manufacturer like Nikon or Canon, I recommend buying from a trusted camera store instead. These stores have access to newer models from manufacturers like Sony or Panasonic that are often sold directly to stores versus directly to consumers through retail channels like eBay or Amazon. This allows stores to get hold of new models before anyone else which they can then sell at highly discounted prices compared to retail cost. Plus, most stores will let you come in and try out various models before making your purchase so you have time to make up your mind and choose right away if something catches your eye!
To summarize, buying a great DSLR camera is much easier than writing this article! Everyone needs a great point and shoot camera when they don’t need all of its extra features- but if you’re looking for one without breaking the bank, shop at a trusted camera store!
